ACLC Prayer Luncheon (Via Zoom)

The focus again was on Black History.

Any person of conscience would surely be moved to tears as Dr Agulan read True Mother’s words about her trip to Gore Island and the sorrrowful history of slavery stemming from that place.

Dr Cynthia Jackson, MC: “We are all part of the human race; we all love God.”

Rev Ekwehgahriri: Offered a passionate invocation, thanking God for giving the spirit of forgiveness, asking God to help us break the barriers of racism, and praying that the cord of love will bind us together.

There were appearances and words from Pastor Crescentia and also Dr Michael Sykes, thanking ACLC NJ for gathering as lovers of Christ and for having the insight to celebrate Black History Month.

An uplifting musical offering was presented by the Christian Charismatic Pilgrim Mission Church.

Dr Lizzie Alston read Scripture:

Songs of Solomon 1:5, and Acts: 17: 26-28

“…one blood of all nations of men. We are all His (the Lord’s) offspring.”

Rev Steven E. Bryant, the very well-studied pastor of St James AME Church in Hightstown, NJ spoke based on Ez: 37: 1-5 and Heb: 11. “This valley of bones, these dry bones…can these bones live?” The revelation of God is absolutely trustworthy. God is absolutely faithful and merciful throughout our lives. He is a way-maker. I can’t imagine facing hatred as a people without having God by my side. He spoke of the richness of the continent of Africa. Why do we need Black History Month? We must deal with the harsh realities of the past in order to heal.” A list of titles for further reading was given, including such titles as “The African Holocaust, Brainwashed, The Souls If Black Folk, Post-traumatic Slave Synddome, The Haitian Revolution, and Forced into Glory.”

Dr Ledlum’s reflection started by making reference to the story of Joseph in Genesis chapter 50, and developed into a truly beautiful expression of gratitude for the message of God given by Father and Mother Moon. He expressed how inspired he was to hear that “the unity of God’s family must be accomplished in the Christian nation of the USA!” He asked, “Can you imagine this great vision of uniting the whole world? We need to think like Christ, have Christ-mindedness.”

Rev Ballenas called for ACLC point persons to be appointed for each of the 29 counties in NJ. He also announced the SubRegional PLuncheon set for March 20.

Joshua Holmes gave a brief reflection and announced YCLC activities.
