The ACLC of New Jersey held their monthly Prayer Luncheon on April 24th, continuing under the theme United as One and The Role of Theology in Human Salvation. The luncheon was hosted by the Elizabeth and Union County coordinator, Miller Williams with Rev. Leonard Grayson, pastor of True Community Christian Center in Elizabeth as the facilitator. About fifty people attended by zoom.
The main speaker was Dr. Thomas Ward, President of the Unification Theological Seminary (UTS), member of the Board of Trustees, and a professor of Peace and Development Studies.
From Matthew 13, Dr. Ward pointed out that in the parable of the sower, our spiritual experiences are like the seed which must be developed and take root; otherwise, it will be blown away. He pointed out that this is what happened to John the Baptist as in the book of John 1:29-34 and in the book of Matthew 1:2-6.

The speaker also highlighted Dr Martin Luther King, Jr as a very educated and knowledgeable man who was able to touch the hearts of all Americans, by being able to pinpoint the Constitution and ask, “Do we really believe that we are all created equal?” Both Paul and Dr King risked and gave their lives in preaching to the people.
Ward introduced the thought of Reverend Dr Sun Myung Moon who said that Joseph, in the biblical story, was grateful for the brothers who took care of his parents. Similarly, we cannot forget or abandon Christians who have served God for 2000 years. Mother Moon emphasizes that there is so much in the USA that represents Christianity and that we must love America because it is a culmination of God’s attempt to bring all people together as one Love Race, beyond walls.
Rev Sarah Duncan of the Apostolic Prophetic Prayer Room said, “I am impressed and lifted up! Thank you, Dr Ward. I congratulate you. You are a great teacher of the word of God. “I will draw all men into me.”
